Big News @ Hulu.com

As some or very little of you know I am interning as a graphic designer with Hulu.com in NYC. And also some of you more informed readers may also have caught some of the hype coverage surrounding Hulu's upcoming Super Bowl Ad (get informed).

Well today we had a company wide meeting spanninng our two great coasts with the sole purpose (or at least that's what it seemed like to me) of giving all the Hulugans the exclusive, non-disclosure, sneak-peek of the Super Bowl spot. Let me tell you right now, that I can't tell you anything. Straight-up I can't say anymore about it than what has already been reported 100 times over, and it's killing me. Trust me. Come Super Bowl sunday y'all will not be disappointed.

So make sure to keep an eye out for Hulu. Yet, if you do happen to miss it. Don't fret. I'll be sure to have it posted up on-demand right here, ASAP.

Wintry Mix

Today I was reminded of the much less glamorous aspect of living in New York City. Wintry mix and all its variations is perhaps the single most influential thing preventing New York/East Coast living peoples from ever being quite as happy and content as their West Coast counterparts - more specifically the few lucky ones in Sunny Southern California.

Southern California may not be the most tropical locale on the earth, nor may it have the most beautiful white sandy beaches. Yet, on a day-by-day basis, year in and year out, SoCal has consistent mild climate that never gets too cold nor too hot. Beaches are open all year long and let me tell you, they are used all year long, when you're not tanning you're surfing. Hand-in-hand with the beauty of the climate is the beauty of the people which comes partly from the two season a year spring/summer dichotomy, the possibility for nonstop outdoor activity, and the lively society that has everything from island style living to big city bustle. All in all what I'm trying to say is that Wintry Mix is probably the closest we can get to the third or fourth ring of hell, and that Wintry Mix is , thankfully, a completely nonexistent aspect of life in Southern California.

Now let me be as I dry my pants on the space heater.

Famous Faces & New York Places

Spotted on E 8th St in NYC, Paul Giamatti walked past as I was seated at the window eating dumplings. Poor guy wasn't looking too hot - unshaven, a bit overweight, and mumbling to himself. We made eye contact. I broke away first only to discover that he was still staring at me. Trust me it wasn't a pleasant stare.

Am I making it up or have there been reports recently saying he wasn't doing so well in the current economic downturn? Maybe I'm thinking of Jeremy Piven. For some reason I mix those two up a lot. Wish I could've got a photo but I wasn't expecting it plus, I mean, he was staring right at me. I may have no shame but I'm not about to stoop to paparazzi level.

Sunday night my friend Steph & I caught The Gyronauts at Highline Ballroom in the West Village (NYC). Here are a couple pics & vids of the hott hula-hoop action.

A day in Disneyland!

My best friend Kristy has been in San Diego for the last week and we've been running around like nutjobs seeing alllll the sights. I drove over 600 miles! And of course one of our stops was Disneyland, The Happiest Place on Earth :)

Kristy did her first rollercoaster and braved the freefalls on Tower of Terror! I was so proud of her. And in the meantime I was practicing "magnum steel" on the rollercoasters ;)

A Too Late for Xmas Gift Idea

I came upon this clever little gadget in Costco. I think it's a really clever design that would be extremely useful on any desk, bedside table, or anywhere else you might want a little light and some good tunes. I can't vouch for the sound quality but I imagine it's on par with the rest of iHome's goods.
